Madison, WI, November 7, 2007 -- Isomark, LLC, an early-stage medical technology company located in Madison’s University Research Park, has named infectious disease specialist Dr. Dennis G. Maki, Head of its’ Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Maki, a world renowned researcher in the recognition and treatment of nosocomial and life-threatening infections, is recognized for his work with the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, the Infectious Disease Society of America, and the International Congress on Infection Control. Dr. Maki is currently the Ovid O. Meyer Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Wisconsin and an attending physician in the University of Wisconsin Center for Trauma and Life Support.
“I am pleased to be able to participate in the development and evaluation of Isomark’s unique non-invasive method for rapid detection of invasive infection. There has been a longstanding critical need for earlier and more accurate diagnostic techniques, especially in emergency departments and intensive care units,” said Dr. Maki.
